Located at 1419 Bryant, on the northeast corner of Bryant and Alameda Streets, the SFMTA substation will be seismically retrofitted and renovated to create a modern, state-of-the-art animal care facility within the historic building shell. This move will provide a new important life for one of the oldest transit facilities in the city. The new San Francisco Animal Care and Control Project will address the multiple deficiencies of the current building and provide safe, sanitary and humane conditions that meet current animal health and welfare standards.
